Condoleezza Rice in her presser a few days back stated that “a ceasefire in Lebanon will simply return us to status quo and would be a guarantee of future violence”. It is quite hard for me to understand the meaning of VIOLENCE as suggested by Ms. Rice. In my view, attacking a country to rescue two captured soldiers can rather be justified as DELIBERATE violence. Israel is too bigheaded with its exceptional armed forces and off course they need periodical training exercises. So why not just strike the neighboring country and avail real time training facilities. Ms. Rice would probably not term this as VIOLENCE.
The US Government further believes that the facts on the ground need to change if there is to be a genuine rather than a STANDARD FIXTURE solution to the problems that were highlighted by the incidents of 9/11. If the US Government is referring to the terrorism activities during the recent past in Madrid, Bali or London as problems, it is instead their own policies that need a little brush up. Does the US Government want to wipe out each and every MUSLIM liberation movement in the world? If these are the facts that US Government is trying to change, then what was this same Government doing when liberation movements like IRA (Irish Republican Army) or Tamil Tigers were defying all possible humanitarian clauses? Justice does have a different meaning in United States!!!!
Israel’s U.N. Ambassador Dan Gillerman said, “When you operate on a cancerous growth you do not stop in the middle, sew the patient up and tell him keep living with that growth until it kills you, you make sure it is totally removed.” CANCEROUS GROWTH???? Ahaaan…… Don’t you just think he is just referring to Syria and Iran???? Hard for me at least to get this thought out of my mind.
